Did you ever wish you were born in a different era? I feel like I hear people rave about The Roaring Twenties all the time and how that period was so much more exciting and glamorous than today. Yes, the outfits were super cute and I love any era where it was standard for guys to wear suits all the time. But I imagine that if I lived in that era, I would probably be wistfully whining about how the 1920s were blah and how the Industrial Revolution was the sh*t.
At 23 years old, I already feel nostalgic for the 90s and early 2000s. I feel like it was just a cooler time to be alive back then. I can't even imagine how awesome it would be to hear Sisqo's "Thong Song," Britney's "I'm a Slave 4U," and Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way" back to back to back and not in a tongue-in-cheek "Oh look I'm playing old music" way.
On the flip side, I literally (yes, literally!) can't even imagine how I'd get around without GPS on my phone. I'm assuming I'd survive and end up knowing my surroundings better, but really, I freak out when I have to follow detour signs with no help from Siri.
Well there you have it. Cheers to old-timey-ness, new-timey-ness, and everything in between. Here are some pictures where I imagined I was a Spanish socialite in the 1500s, aboard my father's ship as he sailed to Peru in search of gold to satisfy my insatiable appetite.
